en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Requejada-Suances road project in northern Spain has been put out to tender. The project is expected to cost €198 million and aims to improve transport connections between Requejada and Suances in the Cantabria region, located west of the city of Santander.
Approved by the Government of Cantabria, the project will boost industrial and tourism development in the Besaya area, reduce travel times, and promote regional development. Construction is expected to begin in 2027, managed by the Ministry of Development, Housing, Territorial Planning and the Environment.
Another road project is being planned to improve connections between Potes and Reinosa, with an estimated cost of €100 million. The area between Reinosa and Potes, located south of Requejada and Suances, is a popular destination for hikers, climbers, road cyclists, and mountain bikers.
These two road projects are part of a broader transport connectivity plan developed by the Spanish government to support regions requiring further development.
