en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2026 China "Machine Tool+" Hundred Industries and Ten Thousand Enterprises Production-Demand Matching Event was held in Shanghai from July 3 to 4. Under the theme "Gathering Wisdom in Shanghai for Collaborative Win-Win in the First Year of the 15th Five-Year Plan," the event featured a main opening ceremony, three specialized precision matching sessions, four working meetings, and a series of tailored activities, aiming to accelerate the large-scale application of innovative products.

Gao Dongsheng, Chief Economist of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), noted in his address that machine tools are a strategic foundational industry related to national security and overall development. Currently, China's production and consumption account for about one-third of the global total, with breakthroughs achieved in high-precision five-axis machining centers and composite machine tools. In the next step, the MIIT will adopt extraordinary measures to promote high-quality development of the machine tool industry across the entire chain, focusing on strengthening core technology research, advancing next-generation intelligent manufacturing, accelerating the promotion and application of innovative products, and enhancing industry self-discipline and governance.

Tang Wenkan, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, stated that Shanghai continues to drive technological innovation and cluster cultivation in the machine tool industry, with breakthroughs in high-end products such as precision jig borers and the rapid formation of industrial clusters in Minhang and Baoshan. In the future, Shanghai will deepen the "AI + Machine Tool" initiative, accelerate applications in key fields such as gas turbines, large aircraft, and aero engines, and build a nationally influential innovation hub for the machine tool industry.

The event featured the launch ceremony for the 2026 activities. Leaders and guests including Gao Dongsheng, Chief Economist of the MIIT; Lin Zhongqin and Wang Guoqing, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Ye Meng, Deputy Director of the First Department of Equipment Industry of the MIIT; Tang Wenkan, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization; Qu Guochun, Director of the Equipment Industry Development Center; Wu Qiang, District Mayor of Minhang; and Miao Changxing, Member of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee and Vice Chairman of the China Instrument and Control Society, jointly initiated the 2026 "Machine Tool+" Hundred Industries and Ten Thousand Enterprises Production-Demand Matching Event.

Several important achievements were released during the event. These included the 2026 list of typical innovative machine tool products and the "Machine Tool Innovative Product Handbook (2026)," which covers subtractive, equal-material, and additive manufacturing equipment, featuring 147 innovative products from 112 enterprises. The "Top Ten Trends and Outlook for Intelligent Transformation of Machine Tools (2026)" was also released, systematically depicting the vision for comprehensive changes in technology, products, and ecosystems. Additionally, the construction of a comprehensive service platform for machine tool production-demand matching, jointly developed by the Equipment Industry Development Center of the MIIT and relevant units, was officially launched. This public welfare smart service platform aims to precisely serve enterprises and efficiently match supply and demand.

Substantive results were achieved in the matching sessions. In terms of strategic cooperation, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the Machine Tool Industry Investment Fund, and the Shanghai State-owned Investment High-End Equipment Fund (under preparation) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote deep integration between industry and capital. In investment, the Machine Tool Industry Investment Fund signed investment agreements with eight enterprises, including AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd., Tonghang Power, SJTU Zhizhi, Hezhi Melting, Jiaqiang Intelligent, Qiaotian Intelligent, Feimian Technology, and Yilang Alloy, with a total investment exceeding 1.6 billion yuan. In supply-demand cooperation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Turbine Plant signed a project on "Demonstration Application of Intelligent Machine Tools," General Technology Group Harbin Measuring & Cutting Tool Group Co., Ltd. and Harbin No.1 Tool Works signed a project on "Efficient Measurement and Market Application Promotion of Gear Cutting Tools," and Kede CNC and Nanjing Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

The report sessions focused on cutting-edge insights and in-depth analysis of the industry. Academician Lin Zhongqin of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a keynote report on AI empowering the high-quality development of domestic machine tools. Leaders from enterprises including China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Commercial Rocket Co., Ltd., SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., Jinan No.2 Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd., General Technology Group Machine Tool Engineering Research Institute, and Intelligent Manufacturing Longcheng Laboratory delivered special reports on topics such as application scenarios, supply capabilities, and pilot verification.

During the event, precision matching sessions were held for energy equipment application scenarios in Minhang, AI + Machine Tools, and precision grinding machine industry chains. Additionally, a high-quality development promotion meeting for machine tools, a special seminar on enhancing enterprise excellence capabilities, and a special seminar on the development of the additive manufacturing industry were organized. A centralized exhibition and negotiation of innovative machine tool achievements also took place. Furthermore, an "Machine Tool+" expert research tour was organized, visiting key enterprises in Minhang District, Shanghai. At the opening ceremony, Zhang Xian, Deputy District Mayor of Minhang, delivered a speech titled "Harnessing the Core Strength of Machine Tools to Open a New Chapter of High-Quality Industrial Development," introducing Minhang's experience and practices in promoting high-quality industrial development, as well as the regional industrial ecosystem and policy advantages.
