en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Italian CRP Group has launched the CRP UniqTrust system, which assigns a digital identity to each Windform® component, enabling full-chain traceability and compliance verification from production to end use.
Headquartered in Modena, Italy, at the heart of the Motor Valley, CRP Group is an international center specializing in CNC machining, metal, and additive manufacturing with Windform® technical polymers. Founded in 1970, the company initially focused on high-precision CNC machining for the motorsport sector, later expanding into metal additive manufacturing (DMLS) and laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing using its proprietary Windform® composite materials. As a manufacturing partner for demanding sectors such as aerospace, robotics, and defense, CRP Group produces customer-specified components for mission-critical applications. The CRP UniqTrust system assigns a digital identity to each component, allowing authorized users to access its origin, compliance, and production history at any time.
Franco Cevolini, CEO and CTO of CRP Group, stated that for fifty-five years, the company has manufactured components for clients who cannot tolerate errors, and CRP UniqTrust is a natural evolution of this culture—it is no longer enough for a part to be professionally manufactured; it must be able to prove its identity and compliance at any point in its lifecycle.
The system uses a non-cloneable physical element linked to the part in its packaging, with CRP Technology establishing the connection between the physical object and its digital identity during manufacturing. Authorized operators simply bring an enabled device close to the packaging to complete verification.
The digital identity collects in a single record the information accompanying the component through the supply chain, including the certificate of authenticity, order reference, part code, and materials used, and can be supplemented with customized technical documentation upon request. Digital access is restricted to authorized operators, replacing the circulation of paper certificates and data sheets while keeping information consistent and searchable. The system also flags read requests inconsistent with the intended receiving company to safeguard supply chain integrity.
Integrating product digital identity, on-site verification, and supply chain traceability, the system differentiates CRP Group in the advanced composite additive manufacturing sector and aligns with the direction of the European Digital Product Passport. CRP UniqTrust was developed by CRP Group in collaboration with Contatto Divino, a division of Pengo Idee Onlife specializing in designing solutions that connect high-value physical products with digital ecosystems, with expertise in anti-counterfeiting systems and supply chain protection.
