Metallis Resources Launches 2026 Field Exploration Season at Greyhound Project in the United States

The exploration team has arrived at the 673-hectare property and is conducting road maintenance, camp construction, and pre-drilling target verification. The 2026 work plan includes diamond drilling, geological mapping, trenching, and geochemical sampling, aimed at deepening the understanding of the Greyhound shear zone.

Initial drilling will focus on the Rufus zone. The company's first drilling program in 2025 confirmed a broad mineralized shear zone in this area, containing multiple quartz veins associated with gold, silver, lead, zinc, and antimony mineralization. This season's work will assess the geometry, continuity, and structural controls of inferred "high-grade" mineralization within the broader system. Vice President of Exploration Dave Nuttall stated that equipment mobilization will enable the team to confirm geological interpretations and refine drill targets before the drill rig arrives. "We are particularly looking forward to returning to the Rufus zone. Last year's drilling significantly enhanced our understanding of the system's scale and mineralization potential. This season's goal is to better define the structural controls of mineralization and further evaluate the continuity of high-grade mineralization within the broader shear zone."

In addition to the Rufus zone, the field team plans to advance multiple emerging targets, including Republican, Bulldog, Akita, Idaho, Ridge Cut, and Birdie, through ongoing mapping, trenching, and sampling. Metallis acquired an option on the Greyhound claim block in February 2024 and subsequently expanded the project area through additional staking. The project is located in Custer County, approximately 42 kilometers northwest of the town of Stanley and 35 kilometers south of Perpetua Resources' (NASDAQ: PPTA) Stibnite mine. The area was an active silver mining camp in the early 20th century, historically hosting a smelter and two active mines along the 3.5-kilometer-long Greyhound shear zone.

CEO Fiore Aliperti stated that the work completed during last year's initial drilling program deepened the understanding of the project and strengthened confidence in multiple priority targets. "With planned drilling, geophysics, geological mapping, and surface exploration across the property, we anticipate a steady and meaningful flow of news as the season progresses, while continuing to unlock the broader potential of the Greyhound project." Metallis expects to begin drilling after completing mobilization activities and final target verification.
