en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 9, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission issued the "Notice on Accelerating the Grid Connection of New Energy Storage Projects," formulating a grid-connection plan for new energy storage projects from July to December 2026. A total of 33 projects are included in the plan, with a combined capacity of 10.04GW/29.03GWh, scheduled to be operational in the second half of the year.
By region, Wuzhong City has the largest planned grid-connection scale, with 12 projects totaling 4.74GW/12.34GWh; Zhongwei City has 6 projects with a scale of 1.82GW/5.84GWh; Ningdong has 3 projects with a scale of 1.33GW/5.01GWh; Shizuishan City has 6 projects with a scale of 1.26GW/3.24GWh; Yinchuan City has 5 projects with a scale of 0.8GW/2.2GWh; and Guyuan City has 1 project with a scale of 0.1GW/0.4GWh.

The document also requires that municipal energy authorities and the Ningdong Energy Administration strengthen dynamic list management, provide coordinated services and fine-tuned scheduling, promptly remove projects that have not substantially commenced construction for an extended period or have failed to follow up on construction after substantial commencement, support the inclusion of eligible projects as replacements, and ensure the timely completion of city-wide grid-connection tasks.
Guidance and services should be enhanced in areas such as access review, grid connection engineering, dispatch naming, grid connection agreements, outage plans, and commissioning operations, to streamline grid-connection acceptance timelines, prioritize urgent matters, simplify and expedite processes, and ensure that projects are connected upon completion and connected as fully as possible.
Regions and enterprises that perform well in completing energy storage grid-connection tasks will be given priority in the approval of new wind power projects, the review and access of new energy projects, and the inclusion of grid projects in planning. Additionally, the completion of grid-connection tasks will be incorporated into the annual performance target management assessment system for cities, counties, and districts.
