en.Wedoany.com Reported - French building materials manufacturer SOPREMA has launched the Alsan Polyflex hot-spray polyurea waterproofing system, developed specifically for new construction and renovation projects requiring high performance, rapid application, and safety.

This new series can form a complete liquid waterproofing system by combining specific primers, polyurea membranes, and topcoat protective layers. This integrated approach ensures compatibility between products and allows the solution to be tailored to the technical requirements of specific projects, covering everything from substrate preparation to final membrane protection. SOPREMA offers a variety of primers designed to improve adhesion on different substrates such as concrete, mortar, clay bricks, bituminous membranes, metal, wood, fiber cement, or polyurethane foam. Selecting the correct primer is crucial for ensuring system stability and long-term application, especially on surfaces with varying porosity, residual moisture, or levels of environmental exposure. The sprayed polyurea waterproofing membrane forms a continuous, elastic coating without seams or overlaps. The system is completed with topcoats that help protect the membrane from UV radiation and provide additional properties such as mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, walkability, or specific color finishes.

The Alsan Polyflex-P in this series is a pure polyurea that has received European Technical Assessment (ETE/ETA) certification, confirming its compliance with European requirements as a liquid waterproofing system for roofs. This certification provides an additional guarantee in demanding applications, verifying the system's waterproofing, durability, mechanical strength, and other properties. Pure polyurea is known for its high elasticity, chemical resistance, moisture resistance, drinking water compatibility, and root resistance. The Alsan Polyflex technology is based on a two-component membrane applied via hot spray, where the components react to achieve rapid curing, forming a continuous elastomeric layer that can adapt to complex geometries and detail nodes without seams or overlaps. Its main properties include high elasticity and crack-bridging ability, mechanical strength, chemical and abrasion resistance, thermal shock resistance, long service life, and a 100% solids membrane (free of solvents or plasticizers). The solution can also incorporate colored finishes and anti-slip surfaces.

The Alsan Polyflex system can be applied in building and industrial environments, including flat and sloped roofs, terraces, balconies, exterior walls, walkable floors, high-traffic areas, walls and foundations, as well as green roofs. This solution is also suitable for surfaces requiring high strength and durability, such as storage tanks, fish farms, water treatment plants, power plants, petrochemical facilities, and parking lots.
