en.Wedoany.com Reported - Swiss rental company Maltech has added five 47-meter Bronto S47 XR truck-mounted aerial work platforms to its fleet.

Maltech chose to mount these new platforms on two-axle 18-ton MAN chassis, with an overall vehicle length of approximately 10 meters and a total height of 3.81 meters. The new-generation Bronto S47 XR is based on its predecessor but features improvements in chassis design and outrigger technology.

These new platforms will adopt the company's new corporate identity—Mateco, as Maltech will officially rebrand to reflect its ownership under the Luxembourg-based rental group. The official name change will take effect in early September. Maltech CEO Patrick Moser stated that the company is making targeted investments as part of a major fleet renewal program. As the leader in the Swiss market for truck-mounted and self-propelled aerial work platforms, these product categories are central to its strategic considerations.

Maltech was founded by Armin Hunziker in Zurich in 1966, initially as a commercial painting company; in 1971, the company added an aerial work platform business to meet its own needs, renting them out under the name Hunziger Hebebühnen; in 2006, its rental operations officially adopted the name Maltech. The company was acquired by Mateco at the end of 2023 and currently operates nearly 40 locations with 130 employees.
