en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Magadan energy hub and its subordinate urban areas, which experienced power outages due to the shutdown of two 220 kV high-voltage lines, have now fully restored electricity. The press office of Magadan Energy Company (Магаданэнерго) reported that the fault repair lasted approximately four hours, with power restored first to villages and towns, followed by key substations and urban areas.

The incident affected the city of Magadan and three municipal districts: Khasynsky, Olsky, and Tenkinsky. The power outage was caused by tripping on the "Kolyma Hydroelectric Power Station—Ust-Omchug" line and the "Orotukan—Palatka" line (Talaya—Palatka section). During the phased restoration, the villages of Palatka and Sokol were the first to receive power, followed by the startup of the "Central" substation in Magadan city, with urban areas and the Olsky district subsequently resuming power supply.
Hot water supply will be restored only after the thermal medium reaches standard parameters. Meanwhile, technical personnel from Magadan Energy Company are analyzing the accident causes together with representatives of the RDU, focusing on waveform diagrams, anti-emergency automatic device operation records, and operator handling processes.
Regarding the root cause of the incident, Chief Engineer Vladimir Shishkin (Владимир Шишкин) stated that it is too early to draw conclusions, as extensive technical inspection work remains to be completed.
