en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nickel North Exploration (TSX-V:NNX) has discovered a new mineralized zone approximately 500 meters long and over 20 meters wide at its Hawk Ridge copper-nickel-cobalt-platinum group element (PGE) sulfide project in northern Quebec, Canada, marking initial results from the 2026 summer field exploration program.

The project, 100% owned by the company, covers 411 mining claims spanning 179.67 square kilometers along a 50-kilometer-long magmatic sulfide belt. Field crews have been mobilized to the site to conduct preliminary geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and passive seismic geophysical surveys in the main known mineralized areas. The team has collected 100 surface soil samples from two high-priority target zones and sent 35 mineralized rock samples to Vancouver for analysis.

Exploration and sampling in the North Hopes Advanced, Pio, and Sindler Gamma areas led to the discovery of the new mineralized zone. Meanwhile, core relogging efforts identified 106 mineralized core samples and 60 meters of unsampled mineralized core from four historical drill holes, which have been shipped to Montreal for reanalysis. The geophysical team also completed four passive seismic lines totaling approximately 3,500 meters to assess deep structural extensions and pipe-like magnetic anomalies.

CEO Tony Guo stated that launching field operations early in the season was a "tremendous" achievement for the team. He emphasized: "By deploying this science-first, focused strategy, we can systematically unlock the potential of multiple outstanding targets across the vast Hawk Ridge footprint while maintaining close attention to capital expenditures." The company noted that the upcoming data sets will provide geometric constraints for its planned diamond drilling campaign in 2027-2028.
