At the forum, the Mobile Internet Committee and the Netizen Rights and Personal Information Protection Committee of the Internet Society of China jointly released the "Self-Regulatory Convention on Personal Information Protection for Intelligent Agents." Thirty-one internet enterprises, including Baidu, Tencent, Alibaba, and Volcengine, signed the convention on-site.

Currently, intelligent agent technology is rapidly integrating into all scenarios of internet services, enhancing service efficiency while also posing new challenges to personal information protection. The released "Self-Regulatory Convention on Personal Information Protection for Intelligent Agents" establishes a comprehensive self-regulatory framework for the processing of personal information by intelligent agents, aiming to guide enterprises in upholding the bottom line of personal information protection while advancing technological innovation.
Additionally, the Internet Society of China officially released the "Self-Regulatory Convention on the Healthy Development of Mini-Program Ecosystems," signed on-site by eight major mini-program platforms, including Tencent, Ant Group, and Baidu.
The 2026 (25th) China Internet Conference was held from July 8 to 10 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. During the event, multiple forums were organized, including those on Artificial Intelligence Empowering Healthcare Innovation and Application, the Fourth Forum on Healthy Internet Use for Minors, Innovative Development of Internet Basic Resources, Intellectual Property and Compliance Governance in the Intelligent Era, OPENVELA Open-Source Ecosystem Development, Data Security, Netizen Rights and Personal Information Protection, the Third Forum on Intelligent Agent Innovation Promotion, and the Finals of the Zhilian Recruitment First National AI Innovation Competition.
