The conglomerate plans to leverage the IT expertise of its subsidiary comTeam and the product portfolio of Terra Robotics to open up new business prospects for franchise specialty retailers while attracting potential new member companies.
As a robotics company under the Wortmann Group, Terra Robotics will provide technology, products, and expertise; on this basis, the technology network comTeam will develop professional B2B solutions, leveraging its capabilities in IT infrastructure, software, and system integration. The group's robotics offensive may unfold as follows: EP specialty retailers utilize their regional networks and consulting capabilities, while Medimax, with its large-format stores, provides ideal conditions for experiential displays of robotics solutions. Additionally, members of the joint group brand WENDEpunkt, which focuses on renewable energy, will benefit from new solutions and marketing concepts.
Matthias Assmann, a member of the ElectronicPartner Board of Directors, stated: "What was just an idea a few months ago has now developed into a cross-border robotics initiative. In a short time, we have jointly built the foundation for a broad sales and service network. The goal is not only to make robotics accessible but also to establish a long-term successful presence in the market through consulting, service, IT capabilities, and regional proximity." He added: "Our subsidiary in the Netherlands is also ready and will soon enter the robotics field. At that point, the entire organization will be fully in place."
Sven Glatter, Managing Director of comTeam, added: "Robotics is an attractive new business area with high growth potential for comTeam partners. Especially in the B2B environment, numerous applications arise where IT and AI capabilities, software understanding, system integration, and service are crucial. The initiative will initially focus on service and marketing robots that assist businesses with daily tasks while offering economic advantages. Implementation in Germany is already in full swing: the first webinars have been held in recent weeks, with over 100 participants. At the same time, ElectronicPartner is establishing a comprehensive training program that will launch in the coming weeks. comTeam, together with Terra Robotics, is planning roadshows for technology network members, with a focus on product demonstrations, training, and specific applications and business concepts for B2B sales.
