en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 12, the third cargo from the Golden Pass LNG export terminal was delivered to Italy's Snam FSRU in Piombino. AIS data from VesselsValue shows that over the weekend, the 2026-built 174,000 cubic meter LNG carrier "Al Na'amah" delivered the gas to Snam's 170,000 cubic meter FSRU "Italis LNG," which subsequently sailed in the Mediterranean on Monday. The cargo originated from the Golden Pass LNG facility in Texas, USA.

In May, the Zeebrugge LNG import terminal, operated by Fluxys, received the first cargo from Golden Pass, sourced from the first liquefaction train. The Golden Pass project is jointly owned by QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil. QatarEnergy holds a 70% stake and offtakes 70% of the capacity, while ExxonMobil holds a 30% stake. The export terminal features three liquefaction trains with a total capacity of 18.1 million tons per year, five 155,000 cubic meter LNG storage tanks, and two berths capable of accommodating the world's largest LNG carriers.
Golden Pass LNG recently received approval from the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to commence commissioning of the second liquefaction train. ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods stated in May that the company expects the second train to achieve mechanical completion by the end of this year, and the third train by the second quarter of next year.
