en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK housebuilder Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has received approval from South Gloucestershire Council to build the next batch of 147 homes at the Beaufort Park development in northern Bristol. These homes are located within the Fishpool Hill planning area.

Of this batch, 45 homes will be reserved for housing associations to help address the local housing waiting list. The approval of the latest plot also triggers a financial contribution of £2.65 million from the developer to the local community, along with an additional £39,000 for implementing sustainable mobility measures in the nearby area.

All homes meet zero-carbon standards and come standard with solar panels and electric vehicle charging facilities. The fourth phase development plan also includes a fully equipped playground. The approved scheme retains existing trees and thickened hedgerows, two allotment gardens, and enhancements to public spaces to improve local wildlife ecology. Along the main road, cycle paths and pedestrian walkways from other phases will be continued.

To date, the total number of housing units with detailed planning permission at the Beaufort Park project has reached 501, while the total number approved in the master plan phase is 1,100 units. Claire Burton, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, said the team is pleased with the on-site progress at Fishpool Hill and is proud to deliver much-needed housing in South Gloucestershire. This hard-won planning permission not only means building more homes for local people but also brings significant financial contributions to the community. In addition to the housing association properties, allotments, environmental and active travel improvements, and the playground, the entire development brings numerous benefits to the Cribbs Causeway area.
