en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kazakhmys Corporation, in partnership with SoyuzGeoMekh LLC, is deploying a digital geomechanical monitoring system at the Zhomart mine, aiming to establish continuous monitoring of rock mass conditions, thereby quickly identifying potential threats and developing corresponding engineering solutions to control risks during ore extraction.

The system's construction begins with the first phase. The core operation of this phase involves using an RS10 mobile scanner to perform laser scanning of mine roadways. Based on the collected spatial data, technicians have established a detailed three-dimensional model of the mine. With this model, engineers can identify minor deviations in the geometry of underground roadways, record displacement conditions, and delineate areas requiring focused attention.

All scanning information will then be integrated with geological, mine survey, and geotechnical data. This comprehensive analysis approach helps to fully assess rock mass stability, identify high-risk sections, and accordingly optimize pillar support parameters, while also providing a planning basis for mining and blasting operations.

Conducting regular scans and continuous analysis of data results not only helps predict potential rock mass changes but also measures the actual effectiveness of the adopted technical solutions.
