en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 14, Inner Mongolia completed the EPC bid opening for two energy storage projects, with a total scale of 600MW/2400MWh.

The EPC bid for the Wulashan 500kV Substation 300MW/1200MWh energy storage project in Urad Front Banner, Bayannur, covering survey, design, procurement, and construction, was opened. According to the bid opening record, six companies participated: Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Co., Ltd., Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Guiyang Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of PowerChina, Hubei Electric Power Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Northwest Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of PowerChina. The bid unit prices ranged from 0.6467 to 0.6816 yuan/Wh.

The tender announcement indicated that the project plans to build a 300MW/1200MWh new-type energy storage power station, including one 220kV step-up substation and other auxiliary facilities, with the energy storage type being lithium iron phosphate (100%). The scope of the tender covers all work and associated costs from the preliminary stage to the project acceptance stage, including engineering survey, engineering design, equipment and material procurement (including transportation, loading/unloading, and storage), civil engineering, installation engineering, commissioning tests and inspections, trial operation to normal power generation across all phases and the entire process; organizing grid connection acceptance and related procedures, coordinating with relevant administrative departments for special acceptance, completion acceptance, completion filing, rectifying project quality issues, transferring and archiving completion documents, and related services during the warranty period, as well as a 2-year overall project warranty.

The EPC bid for the Urad Rear Banner 300MW/1200MWh independent new-type energy storage project, covering survey, design, procurement, and construction, was also opened. The bid opening record showed seven participating companies: Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Co., Ltd., Guiyang Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of PowerChina, Hubei Electric Power Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Northwest Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of PowerChina, Zhongnan Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of PowerChina, and Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group. The bid unit prices ranged from 0.6485 to 0.679 yuan/Wh.

The tender announcement stated that the project covers an area of approximately 150 mu, operates as a grid-side independent energy storage station, and involves building a 300MW/1200MWh centralized step-up grid-following non-walk-in liquid-cooled lithium iron phosphate energy storage system. It also includes constructing one new 220kV step-up substation and related auxiliary facilities, connecting to the 220kV side of the Wulashan 500kV substation via one 220kV line, with approximately 320 charge-discharge cycles per year.

The scope of this project's tender similarly covers all work and associated costs from the preliminary stage to the project acceptance stage, including engineering survey, engineering design, equipment and material procurement (including transportation, loading/unloading, and storage), civil engineering, installation engineering, commissioning tests and inspections, trial operation to normal power generation across all phases and the entire process; organizing grid connection acceptance and related procedures, coordinating with relevant administrative departments for special acceptance, completion acceptance, completion filing, rectifying project quality issues, transferring and archiving completion documents, and related services during the warranty period, as well as a 2-year overall project warranty.
