en.Wedoany.com Reported - Mining company LinQ Minerals (ASX:LNQ) has obtained high-grade copper-gold mineralization intervals from its first drilling program at the Monza prospect within the Gilmore gold-copper project in New South Wales, Australia. Assay results from three drill holes show a standout interval of 5 meters at 5.36% copper equivalent (CuEq) from 124 meters, hosted within a broader 208-meter interval at 0.61% CuEq from 38 meters. Other significant results include 28 meters at 1.85% CuEq within a 226-meter interval at 0.70% CuEq from 47 meters, and 17 meters at 1.58% CuEq within a 136-meter interval at 0.70% CuEq from 47 meters. LinQ stated that these mineralized intervals occur within a sulfide breccia zone, representing an extension of previously identified mineralization, including 150 meters at 1.62% CuEq.

Executive Chairman Clive Donner said the initial drilling program is delivering "excellent" results. "We are very encouraged by some of the higher-grade results within the breccia zone and look forward to receiving the remaining pending results from Monza," Donner said. LinQ completed eight drill holes in its May drilling program, with assay results from the remaining five holes yet to be released. Previous air-core drilling identified strong untested basement responses along an 800-meter strike between Monza and the adjacent Estoril deposit.

Monza is located within a 17-kilometer-long mineralized corridor in the Macquarie Arc province, an area hosting several major operating mines. The Gilmore project's global mineral resource estimate stands at 516 million tonnes, containing 3.7 million ounces of gold and 1.2 million tonnes of copper metal, distributed across multiple deposits. LinQ plans further drilling to test whether a single continuous porphyry complex exists between Estoril and Monza. LinQ Minerals is an exploration company focused on the Gilmore copper-gold project in New South Wales.
