en.Wedoany.com Reported - Wanliyang Co., Ltd., a Chinese auto transmission company based in Zhejiang, released its 2026 semi-annual performance forecast, expecting net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company to be between 70 million yuan and 80 million yuan, a decrease of 71.07% to 74.69% compared to the same period last year.

The performance forecast shows that net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses is expected to be between 40 million yuan and 50 million yuan, a decrease of 71.48% to 77.19% year-on-year; basic earnings per share are expected to be between 0.05 yuan per share and 0.06 yuan per share.

Regarding the reasons for the performance change, Wanliyang explained in the announcement that in the first half of 2025, the company reduced its holdings of 53 million shares of Zhejiang University Netcom Technology Co., Ltd., generating investment income of 119 million yuan, which was classified as non-recurring gains and losses, while no such business income was recorded in the first half of 2026.

Additionally, in the first half of 2026, due to a decline in passenger car sales in China, especially a significant drop in fuel-powered passenger car sales, the company's CVT automatic transmission sales to domestic independent brand vehicle customers for overseas exports and direct exports to overseas vehicle customers both decreased substantially, leading to a sharp year-on-year decline in passenger car transmission business revenue. At the same time, rising prices of key raw materials such as aluminum and steel further increased costs, resulting in a significant year-on-year reduction in net profit for the first half of 2026.

Wanliyang stated that the company will accelerate the expansion of its full product series in overseas markets, actively develop new businesses such as 汽车产业" target="_blank">new energy vehicles transmission/drive systems, off-road vehicle transmission/drive systems, and robot components, cultivate new business growth points, and continuously strengthen internal cost reduction and efficiency improvement efforts to enhance operating performance.
