en.Wedoany.com Reported - Stellantis Netherlands has established a Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (Centro de Expertise em Cibersegurança) at its automotive industrial park in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The center will be responsible for developing and operating digital defense capabilities for the company's global regions.

Fábio de Freitas, Vice President of ICT and Digital Innovation for Stellantis South America, stated that the establishment of the new center in Betim aligns with the transformation trends in the global automotive industry. He noted that as software, data, and new technologies play a more significant role in product development and customer experience, cybersecurity has become a key element in ensuring trust, availability, and protection within the mobility chain.
The Betim plant celebrated its 50th anniversary in July this year, and the establishment of the new center marks a new phase in its development. Currently, Stellantis has 18 job openings at the center, targeting senior professionals and experts across various cybersecurity fields. The recruitment positions cover OT (Operational Technology) security, cloud/SaaS security, Red Team, CSIRT, PSIRT, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), regulations, Artificial Intelligence Security Governance, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Extended Connectivity, among others.
Freitas added that the Betim industrial park has made history with its excellence in engineering and manufacturing, and is now expanding its contribution to the company by converging strategic capabilities that shape the future of mobility. The company is building a highly specialized team that is integrated with global operations. In its announcement, Stellantis stated that the choice of the Betim automotive industrial park as the location for the new center reflects Brazil's favorable innovation environment. Brazil is one of the most connected countries globally and a world leader in adopting new technologies, including artificial intelligence solutions.
