en.Wedoany.com Reported - Changi Airport Group (CAG) has awarded Nakano Singapore (Pte) Ltd a contract to construct a new six-storey office building that will be integrated with the refurbished Terminal 3 (T3) bus park.

Changi Airport Group advances T3 office development project

Located in the landside area of T3, the project will build Changi Airport's first standalone office building, featuring a dedicated drop-off zone and lift lobby. The building offers approximately 9,600 square metres of office space across five floors, integrated with a revamped bus park, designed to provide professionally tailored office space for airlines, airport partners, and other businesses seeking proximity to Changi Airport.

Currently, Changi Airport provides about 80,000 square metres of landside office space across Terminals 1 to 4 to support CAG and its extensive network of aviation partners, including airlines, ground handling service providers, government agencies, concessionaires, and contractors. Many organisations require on-site operations daily, while others choose to be based at the airport for convenience and operational efficiency. Existing capacity is nearing saturation, necessitating additional space before the opening of Terminal 5 in the mid-2030s to support the growth of the aviation hub.

The building features cascading landscaped terraces, providing natural light and fresh air for tenants on each floor to enhance well-being. A spacious terrace on the second floor will serve as a flexible communal space, hosting various events and programmes throughout the day.

Mr Steve Tay, Vice President of Leasable Properties at CAG, stated that the project will help partners by providing a comfortable and well-designed office environment to support their operational needs, while fostering closer collaboration within the airport ecosystem, reflecting CAG's ongoing commitment to supporting the development of the aviation hub.

Construction will be carried out in two phases to minimise impact on existing operations. The first phase, including the construction of the office building, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2028; the remaining work on the refurbished bus park will be completed in the second half of 2028.
