en.Wedoany.com Reported - From July 14 to 15, Yanchang Petroleum commissioned China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC) to organize a general design review meeting for Phase I of the Yulin Coal-to-Clean Fuel Upgrade Demonstration Project in Xi'an. This project is a key initiative to implement the national energy security strategy, safeguard national energy security, and also an important measure to implement the national coal-to-oil and gas planning layout and the industrial policy for clean and efficient coal utilization.

The meeting invited 22 Chinese experts to review the overall design of the project. The expert panel concluded that the overall design is scientifically feasible, with complete and standardized content, meeting relevant national and industry standards and requirements, and unanimously approved the design review.

The project is located in the Energy and Chemical Industry Park of Jingbian Economic Development Zone in Yulin, leveraging the abundant coal, new energy resources, and chemical industry foundation in northern Shaanxi. The overall project plan is for a 5 million t/a coal-based clean fuel and co-produced chemicals, with Phase I constructing a 2.4 million t/a coal-based clean fuel facility, and supporting the development of the Wusuhai Ze No. 1, Xihongdun, and Haicetan coal mines.

The accelerated construction of this project plays a significant role in leveraging the industrial, energy, and technological advantages of Yanchang Petroleum, Yulin Energy Group, and Synfuels China, accelerating the construction of the Yulin Energy Revolution Innovation Demonstration Zone, and building a trillion-level modern energy industrial cluster in Shaanxi.

Leaders, department heads, and professional and technical personnel from the Yulin Municipal Government and relevant departments, Jingbian County Government, Yulin Energy Group, Jingbian Economic and Technological Development Zone, relevant departments of Yanchang Petroleum Group, Mining Company, and Yanyu Energy Company attended the meeting.
