en.Wedoany.com Reported - Terminal Internacional del Sur (Tisur) will invest more than 21 million soles to build new infrastructure for Educational Institution No. 40479 "Miguel Grau" in the district of Matarani, Islay Province. This project will directly benefit over 670 students.

The project is implemented through the Tax Works mechanism (Obras por Impuestos), coordinated by the Regional Government of Arequipa (GORE Arequipa) with Tisur. This work will completely renovate an educational center that has been in service for 76 years, equipping it with modern, safe, and adequate facilities to enhance the teaching and learning process for future generations.

The execution agreement has been signed by the Governor of the Arequipa Region and representatives of Tisur's Engineering and Sustainable Development department, consolidating the alliance between the public and private sectors to accelerate the construction of strategic infrastructure for the benefit of the local population.

This initiative demonstrates how port development can translate into social progress. Through the Tax Works mechanism, investments related to port activities help reduce infrastructure gaps, strengthen essential services such as education, and create more opportunities for communities surrounding the port.
