en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 16, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Shanghai. Xu Peng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of CSSC, and Chen Zhenlin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the CMA, attended the signing ceremony. Bi Baogui, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the CMA, and Zhao Tongbin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of CSSC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Prior to the signing, the two sides held discussions on further strengthening communication and exchanges to promote mutually beneficial and win-win development.


Xu Peng welcomed Chen Zhenlin and his delegation, and introduced CSSC's reform and development progress as well as its planning ideas for the "15th Five-Year Plan." Xu Peng stated that meteorological work plays a crucial supporting role in the high-quality and sustainable development of shipbuilding and the shipbuilding industry. He expressed hope that this signing would serve as a starting point to strengthen coordination and collaboration in areas such as disaster prevention and mitigation capacity building, meteorological equipment development, and emerging industry cultivation, establish a regular communication mechanism, enhance joint efforts in scientific and technological innovation, and promote the bidirectional transformation and application of research outcomes, thereby providing strong support for building a maritime power and a meteorological power.
Chen Zhenlin introduced the development overview of the CMA and stated that CSSC is the national team of China's shipbuilding industry and the main force in marine science and technology innovation. The two sides have strong business complementarity and high strategic alignment. The CMA is willing to deepen the co-building of a regular cooperation mechanism with CSSC, strengthen cooperation in areas such as the implementation of scientific research projects, digital and intelligent empowerment and efficiency enhancement, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, promote the co-construction and sharing of resources, accelerate the implementation of the cooperation agreement, and jointly serve major national strategies.
Relevant internal institutions and unit heads of the CMA, as well as CSSC's assistant-level leaders, relevant headquarters departments, and heads of relevant secondary management units, attended the signing event.
