en.Wedoany.com Reported - At the WAIC 2026 exhibition, China's Mech-Mind Robotics showcased an "Eye-Brain-Hand" system composed of a 3D vision system, a multimodal large model, and a dexterous hand, enabling humanoid robots and robotic arms to perform complex tasks in real-world scenarios.
Unlike robots dancing or fighting on other booths, Mech-Mind's robots demonstrated capabilities closer to practical applications. One humanoid robot accurately selected products from a shelf based on voice commands from the audience and delivered them to a pickup counter; another robotic arm quickly assembled ultra-thin sheet metal parts of various shapes. These demonstrations focused on the robots' operational capabilities, generalization, and cross-embodiment versatility in complex scenarios.
Robots entering factories face numerous challenges, including variable ambient lighting, raw materials and workpieces of different specifications, and constantly changing tasks. Mech-Mind's demo showcased solutions to these difficulties. Two humanoid robots collaborated to load and unload workpieces and transport baskets, achieving continuous operations from grasping to moving. In another scenario, a robotic arm performed sub-millimeter precision assembly of flexible wire harness connectors.

In a demonstration of grasping pentagonal nut workpieces, the robot took less than 2.4 seconds per piece, with speed and efficiency meeting production line cycle times. These capabilities have been deployed on a large scale in manufacturing sectors such as the automotive industry.
Retail and home scenarios also test the generalization ability of robots. Mech-Mind's robots can classify a vast array of everyday items and sort transparent objects with complex optical properties.

The above capabilities all stem from Mech-Mind's self-developed "Eye-Brain-Hand" system. This system includes an industrial-grade 3D vision system capable of identifying thin-walled workpieces and transparent objects with high-speed imaging; the Mech-GPT multimodal large model, which accepts natural language and image instructions and possesses human-like understanding and reasoning abilities; and the Mech-Hand dexterous hand, centered on the World Action Model, capable of performing various fine manipulations such as grasping, twisting, holding, and gripping.
