en.Wedoany.com Reported - South Korean semiconductor company FADU achieved sales of 73.2 billion won and an operating profit of 16.3 billion won in the second quarter of 2026, continuing the growth momentum following its return to profitability in the first quarter.

The company disclosed the above data through a provisional earnings announcement on the 20th. Compared to the first quarter of 2026, second-quarter sales increased by approximately 23%, and compared to the same period last year, performance more than tripled. Operating profit surged over 111% from 7.7 billion won in the first quarter, significantly improving profitability.

In the first half of this year, FADU's cumulative sales reached 132.7 billion won, approaching the total combined sales of 139.5 billion won for the two years from 2024 to 2025. Cumulative operating profit for the first half stood at 24 billion won. The expansion of the global customer base and stable order backlog were the main drivers of performance growth. By announcement standards, the company has secured over 340 billion won in new orders this year and acquired new global server OEM customers, strengthening its position in the global storage ecosystem.

On the product front, the global supply of fifth-generation (Gen5) solid-state drive (SSD) controllers is expanding, and the next-generation standard Gen6 controller is also ready for future market launch. The enterprise SSD controller business, based on long-term supply contracts, is less affected by seasonal supply cycle fluctuations, providing stable momentum for the company's long-term growth.

FADU CEO Nam Yi-hyun stated that after successfully returning to profitability in the first quarter, the second quarter established a solid profit trend, laying the foundation for a quantum leap in both sales and profits this year. He also mentioned that the expansion of sales volume driven by customer diversification and the high growth momentum of controllers in the artificial intelligence semiconductor market make the second half of the year even more promising than the first half.
