BasiGo Partners with Rubis Energy Kenya to Expand Fast-Charging Network
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Electric mobility company BasiGo has entered into a strategic partnership with Rubis Energy Kenya to expand electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure along key transport corridors in Kenya, with the first charging station now operational.

The first operational charging station is located at the Sabaki Rubis petrol station in Athi River. Additional charging sites are expected to be commissioned later this month in Meru, Nanyuki, and Nyeri. These stations are open to the public and can serve various electric vehicles, including buses, vans, trucks, and passenger cars. Each site is equipped with CCS2 and GB/T DC 100kW fast chargers, compatible with a wide range of commercial electric vehicles operating in the Kenyan market.
The partnership integrates BasiGo's expertise in electric vehicle charging technology with Rubis Energy Kenya's extensive retail network and infrastructure, providing a platform to accelerate the deployment of charging facilities nationwide. The two companies stated that this initiative aims to deliver reliable and accessible charging infrastructure along major transport routes, support the adoption of electric mobility, and lay the foundation for future expansion within Rubis's operations in East and Southern Africa.
