The sea-rail-road intermodal train takes approximately 12 days for the entire journey, shortening the transit time by 5 days compared to traditional transport modes. Under the "single document" model, the carrier only needs one shipping document to achieve seamless cargo transfer across different transport links, eliminating the need to handle separate procedures for each mode. The Yantai Train Operations Section of China Railway Jinan Group, through joint office operations between the railway and the port, coordinates cross-border and local cargo to ensure loading within one hour of arrival at the port and departure within three hours.

The launch of this sea-rail-road intermodal train opens a new logistics corridor for cross-border cargo from Japan and South Korea to Central Asia via inland China.
