en.Wedoany.com Reported - Unidata announced on July 20, 2026, that it has successfully won a bid through a temporary business consortium (RTI) and signed a contract with Infratel Italia to provide ultra-broadband internet connection services to municipal governments in central Italy affected by the 2016 earthquake.
The contract covers the regions of Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche, and Umbria, with work including access network construction, connection service provision, as well as management and maintenance services.
The winning consortium consists of Unidata (holding 85%) and Eagleprojects (holding 15%). According to the company announcement, the total contract value is €2.5 million, with an expected duration of 6 years.
Planned activities include access network construction, provision of ultra-broadband internet connections with speeds up to 1 Gbps, installation of dedicated network security equipment, and support and maintenance services.
The project will be funded through the National Complementary Plan (PNC), which is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with funds specifically allocated for areas affected by the 2009 and 2016 earthquakes.
