Lenovo Unveils World's First RISC-V Server at WAIC 2026, Powered by Lanxin LX500
en.Wedoany.com Reported - At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) held in Shanghai in July 2026, Lenovo publicly showcased the world's first 2U rack-mounted server powered by the Lanxin LX500 processor—the Lenovo Wentian WR5219 G5. This marks Lenovo's first server product based on an open-source architecture.

The server is equipped with the Lanxin LX500, a server-grade RISC-V processor featuring a 48-core heterogeneous architecture, PCIe 5.0 high-speed channels, and next-generation DDR5 high-speed memory.
The Lenovo Wentian WR5219 G5 offers a variety of storage, I/O, and memory options, allowing users to select drive types as needed. Its hardware performance is fully optimized for modern IT core workloads, including AI inference, virtualization deployment, scientific computing, big data analytics, and software-defined computing.
Lenovo stated that at the ecosystem level, it deeply adapts to the local computing ecosystem, building a secure and compatible computing foundation and a fully compatible xPU ecosystem. This approach not only supports mainstream international chip architectures but also provides deep adaptation and optimization for domestic CPUs and GPUs.
