Natural is building the foundational payment stack for AI agents. The company notes that agents are becoming financial actors, encompassing functions such as holding and transferring funds, requesting and accepting payments, making purchases, paying invoices, and charging for work, all while needing to transact across different currencies, banks, networks, and payment rails. Natural believes these agents require a financial stack built specifically for how they operate.
Kahlil Lalji, CEO and co-founder of Natural, stated that agents will become one of the most important financial actors in the global economy. He believes the core question is who will build the infrastructure that makes agent payments secure, reliable, compliant, and scalable, which is exactly what Natural is building.
Natural is building 13 products, six of which are fully available. Launched products include: Wallets, providing FDIC-insured accounts for agents; Vaults, one-way accounts where funds can only be deposited; Pay, enabling fund transfers to agents, businesses, or consumers; Request, allowing fund collection from agents, businesses, or consumers; Transfer, supporting movement of funds between internal and external accounts; and Connect, enabling platforms and marketplaces to be built on Natural.
The company also plans to launch Voice in the coming months, allowing agents to collect PCI information, including card details, over the phone; Accept, turning company agents into merchants; and Cards, enabling companies to issue debit and charge cards for agents. In the fourth quarter, Natural plans to launch Charge, supporting per-API-call billing based on Natural wallets; Credit, allowing companies to provide credit lines for agents; Direct, enabling agents to call specific payment rails at runtime; and Billing, supporting success-based billing for agents.
Natural was founded 342 days ago by Lalji, along with co-founders Eric Wang and Walt Leung. The company currently has a team of 17 people and is actively hiring across all functions. The company notes that in less than a year since its founding, it has built its banking and payment infrastructure with significant direct ownership.
