en.Wedoany.com Reported - OneSubsea, a joint venture jointly funded by SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7, has signed two contracts with Norwegian oil and gas company Vår Energi for the design and delivery of subsea production systems and natural gas export infrastructure on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
These two contracts are for the Balder and Goliat fields, respectively. In the Goliat project, OneSubsea is responsible for designing and delivering a natural gas export facility for the Goliat FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading unit), which will transport natural gas from the Barents Sea to Europe by connecting to the Snøhvit system and the Melkøya LNG facility. The other contract involves the Balder Next New Wells project, covering four wellhead systems in a single-slot satellite configuration along with an associated umbilical system.
The contract scope covers OneSubsea's three business lines: subsea production systems, umbilicals and cables, and processing systems, as well as the supply of multiphase flow meters. Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea, stated that the transition from feasibility study to contract award took only a few months, thanks to the close collaboration and mutual trust established between the partners. The company will continue to work with Vår Energi to accelerate development and implement innovative solutions to maximize recovery rates.
