Facing pressures from insufficient ore supply and declining raw ore grades, the company comprehensively improved production efficiency through extraordinary organization and internal potential tapping.
To alleviate the ore supply shortage, the mining company coordinated efforts across the entire mining and beneficiation process. On the mining side, measures included deep ore extraction, low-grade ore recovery, cross-regional resource allocation, and ore blending optimization. On the beneficiation side, the company stabilized large-scale equipment and the efficiency of skewed mill rolls, strengthened magnetic iron control in tailings, and enhanced mill processing capacity and iron concentrate output. At the same time, it improved ore dispatch management from open-pit mines to beneficiation plants, increased internal railway transport efficiency, shortened train turnaround times, and ensured raw ore supply.
Ore recovery from soil yards set a historical record. By extending dry separation line operating hours, running recovery lines at full capacity, and intensifying the blending and use of recovered ore, the company recovered 4.8608 million tons of ore in the first half of the year, exceeding the target by 525,800 tons, a 12.13% increase, effectively compensating for the ore supply gap.
Facing ore shortages caused by the closure of the Beita Iron Mine open-pit operation and the suspension of the Jia Mine expansion, the mining company organized cross-regional transport of ore from the Beishan and South End slopes of the open-pit mine and soil yards, leveraging the grinding and beneficiation production capacity of the Jia Mine and Beita Iron Mine. In the first half of the year, a cumulative 2.1968 million tons of Nanfen iron ore were transported, an increase of 410,600 tons year-on-year, or 22.99%. During road control periods, the company closely monitored road conditions, coordinated transport capacity, and promptly restored transport channels, ensuring regional production capacity was released.
While maintaining stable production, the mining company combined the "Safety Production Month" campaign with flood season characteristics, strengthening inspections of key areas such as mining slopes, waste dumps, and retaining walls, and standardizing blasting operation procedures to achieve a balance between output and safety.
