en.Wedoany.com Reported - Golden Horse Minerals (ASX:GHM) has extended the strike length of the Hopes Hill mineralised system at the Southern Cross Gold Project in Western Australia to over 3 kilometres, following drilling completed in the first half of 2026. The company plans to conduct its maiden mineral resource estimate in the second half of 2026.

Broad "high-grade" gold zones were encountered across the project in the second quarter, with notable intercepts at Hopes Hill including: 16 metres at 6.8 g/t gold from 115 metres; and 12.0 metres at 7.3 g/t gold from 116 metres. The company completed over 50,000 metres of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling in the first half of 2026.

At the Hopes Hill North zone, drill hole 26HHRC024 intersected 12 metres at 7 g/t gold from 278 metres, including 5 metres at 14.5 g/t gold from 282 metres. This hole represents a significant extension of approximately 1,000 metres north of previously reported drilling.

Deep drilling beneath the historic Hopes Hill pit returned the deepest mineralised intercept to date, with drill hole 26HHRCD077 intersecting 24.2 metres at 2.2 g/t gold from 378.8 metres, and 40.2 metres at 1.5 g/t gold within a broader interval.

At the Hopes Hill South zone, discovery hole 26HHRC066 identified a new "high-grade" shear-hosted mineralised zone approximately 200 metres south of the historic pit, returning 7 metres at 13.00 g/t gold from 13 metres. Follow-up drilling successfully extended this mineralisation along strike and at depth.

Managing Director Nicholas Anderson stated that drilling continues to validate and expand the geological model at Hopes Hill, with the mineralised system now extending over 3 kilometres and remaining open along strike and at depth. The company continues to discover new mineralisation outside the boundaries of the historic pit, demonstrating the broader scale of the system and providing multiple opportunities for future resource growth.

Regional exploration at Hakes Find delivered encouraging results, with drilling confirming shallow gold mineralisation extending over 500 metres of strike length. Significant intercepts include: 11 metres at 3.40 g/t gold from 33 metres; and 3 metres at 3.90 g/t gold from 57 metres. Multiple drill holes also returned "high silver values", notably 4 metres at 211 g/t silver from 55 metres.

Post-quarter, maiden drilling at Greenmount returned "outstanding" results, with all nine drill holes intersecting gold mineralisation. Notable intercepts include: 8 metres at 16.30 g/t gold from 209 metres, including 3 metres at 37.6 g/t gold from 214 metres.

An independent prospect review of the Sorrel Copper Project confirmed existing mineral resources of 8.4 million tonnes at 1.1% copper, containing approximately 88,000 tonnes of copper metal. The review also identified multiple high-priority exploration opportunities involving copper, cobalt, uranium, and rare earth elements.

GHM held cash of A$30.6 million at quarter-end. The company continues multi-rig drilling at Hopes Hill, with two diamond rigs and one RC rig operating. Golden Horse Minerals is a Western Australian gold exploration company advancing the Southern Cross Gold Project and increasing copper exposure through the Sorrel Copper Project in the Northern Territory.
