en.Wedoany.com Reported - Saudi Arabian rotorcraft operator The Helicopter Company (THC) has confirmed an additional order for eight Airbus H145 light twin-engine helicopters.

Matthieu Louvot, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, stated that this new order stems from a framework agreement announced at the Verticon exhibition in 2024, covering up to 120 helicopters. The latest batch of H145s is scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2028, following a previous firm order for 10 H145s under the same agreement.

Captain Arnaud Martinez, CEO of THC, said the new fleet will address both growth and replacement needs. However, the operator has not yet specified their intended use. Martinez noted that while there are ideas for growth directions, it is difficult to predict exactly how the helicopters will be utilized two years from now. These helicopters will be delivered in a "multi-mission" configuration, allowing the company to decide on specific uses at the last moment.

THC, wholly owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, has rapidly expanded its operations since its establishment in 2019, covering tourism, transportation, and emergency medical service flights. Its sister company, Rotortrade, handles the disposal of the company's second-hand assets. Airbus Helicopters has established a support office in Saudi Arabia to serve customers and plans to increase the number of stationed personnel.
