Developer granted permission to build 21 homes in East Hampshire

The low-density project, located on a site west of Somerset Fields, will include one- to four-bedroom homes and five bungalows, with 43% designated as affordable housing. The plan aims to protect key landscapes and maintain the character of the Bentley Conservation Area.

Will Main, founder and Managing Director of Wates Manor Oak, stated that with the purpose of "reimagining places for people to thrive," the scheme integrates new affordable homes and extensive public open space while preserving the historic character of the surrounding village. He noted that the team is delighted to have secured planning permission for these vital new homes in Bentley and will continue to keep local stakeholders informed as the project progresses.

Last month, Wates Land & Development, a division of the Wates Group, announced the acquisition of Manor Oak Homes, a land developer based in the Midlands. The team has now been renamed Wates Manor Oak and is led by Will Main.
