China's Wanzhi 32.5MW/65MWh Jingzheng Xiexin Energy Storage Station in Anhui Put into Operation

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 10kV Jingzheng Xiexin energy storage station, located within the GCL Integration factory area in Wanzhi District, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, was recently officially put into operation. The project adopts a user-side energy storage system and operates under a "self-generation, self-dispatch" model, helping enterprises reduce electricity costs and optimize regional grid load.

The energy storage station has a planned capacity of 32.5MW/65MWh, consisting of 13 prefabricated cabins. It uses 314Ah lithium iron phosphate batteries with a liquid cooling temperature control solution, connected to the 110kV GCL substation via a 10kV busbar. The station implements a seasonal two-charge, two-discharge intelligent charging and discharging strategy, storing electricity during off-peak hours and supplying it for enterprise self-use during peak periods, thereby reducing the enterprise's electricity purchase costs and, over the long term, lowering the overall electricity expenses of the factory area.

With dedicated service support from the State Grid Wuhu Wanzhi District Power Supply Company, the station successfully completed grid connection and can be fully charged in just two hours. This capability effectively alleviates power supply pressure during peak summer periods, reduces peak loads on substations and distribution lines, and promotes supply-demand balance in the regional grid.

The station is also equipped with the grid's self-developed PSS battery early warning diagnostic system, which can predict potential faults such as micro-short circuits and thermal runaway up to 14 days in advance, ensuring equipment safety at all levels. Additionally, by replacing peak-hour thermal power purchases with stored energy, the project reduces regional thermal power consumption, helping enterprises lower carbon emissions and promoting the transformation of Wanzhi District's energy structure toward green and low-carbon development.
