en.Wedoany.com Reported - The international standard ITU-T F.749.20, "Requirements for a Head-up Display Interface for Intelligent Vehicles," led by China's Changan Automobile, was officially released by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on July 20, 2026. The ITU, a specialized agency under the United Nations responsible for communication affairs and one of the three major global international standardization organizations, sets standards with broad international applicability and industry influence.

This standard systematically specifies requirements for presenting head-up display information in intelligent vehicles from a human factors perspective, providing a reference for global head-up display design and application, marking a significant achievement for Changan Automobile in the field of human factors engineering.

With the accelerated development of intelligent vehicles, head-up displays have gradually become a crucial interactive interface connecting drivers, vehicle status, and road environments. Issues such as unclear information hierarchy, lack of emphasis, and difficulty in recognition under complex conditions affect drivers' ability to quickly obtain key information. How to enable users to "see clearly, understand easily, and use effectively" in complex driving scenarios has become a common concern for the global intelligent automotive industry.

To address this, Changan Automobile spent three years completing seven proposals and leading the standard's development. During the process, Changan's Human Factors Engineering Laboratory conducted validation across typical road and weather scenarios, translating user real-world experiences into quantifiable and implementable design requirements, promoting a unified balance of safety, efficiency, and comfort in head-up displays.

Currently, the relevant achievements have been applied to models such as the Changan Qiyuan A07, Changan Qiyuan A06, Deepal S05, and Mazda EZ-60.

In the future, Changan Automobile will continue to uphold independent innovation and open collaboration, actively participate in international standardization cooperation, and promote the safe, healthy, and sustainable development of the global intelligent automotive industry.
