en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ramelius Resources has intersected a series of high-grade gold zones within its Western Australian portfolio, with the new discoveries bolstering plans for its next underground mine and supporting a production target of over 500,000 ounces per annum by the 2029-2030 financial year.

The most outstanding results came from infill drilling at the Never Never area of the Dalgaranga gold project, where the company intersected a 3.38-meter zone grading 996 g/t gold at a depth of 101.6 meters. Other high-grade intercepts in this area include 13 meters at 34.5 g/t from 151 meters, 8.8 meters at 20.2 g/t from 119 meters, and 16.1 meters at 14 g/t from 131 meters.
Ramelius completed 165,000 meters of drilling in the second half of the 2025-2026 financial year, with total exploration and resource definition expenditure for the year reaching A$103.9 million, slightly above its guidance range of A$80 million to A$100 million. At the Dalgaranga project, 7,350 meters of infill drilling was completed in the Never Never area, while 12,075 meters of resource definition drilling was carried out in the Four Pillars and West Winds areas targeting the Gilbey underground mine.
Drilling results from the Gilbey mine area include 1.6 meters at 130 g/t from 216.3 meters and 3.7 meters at 38.2 g/t from 408.7 meters. A mineral resource estimate update is currently underway to support a pre-feasibility study for the proposed underground project.
Peter Ruzicka, Executive General Manager of Exploration at Ramelius, said the results demonstrate the value of the company's increased exploration investment. Ruzicka noted that the expanded exploration budget for FY26 has been successfully applied to identify and develop multiple high-grade targets, including the evolving Galaxy and Gilbey underground exploration targets, which have the potential to provide near-term upside to the five-year production outlook by replacing lower-grade resources in the current mine plan.
The Mt Magnet gold project also delivered strong results, with the Galaxy underground mine intersecting 20.2 meters at 40.7 g/t gold from 189.1 meters, including an 11-meter section grading 71.7 g/t. Drilling at Franks Tower returned 14.76 meters at 54.5 g/t from 244.01 meters, including 0.52 meters at 740 g/t, while Perseverance South returned 24.05 meters at 3.47 g/t from 315 meters.
At the Cue gold project, the Lena deposit produced 19.7 meters at 5.73 g/t from 445.4 meters and 9 meters at 12.9 g/t from 499 meters. Ramelius plans further drilling, an updated Lena resource estimate, and a scoping study in the 2026-2027 financial year. Ruzicka pointed out that high-grade underground opportunities have also been identified at Lena and Perseverance South, adjacent to the Galaxy underground mine, and the company will continue to seek new high-grade opportunities across its prospective tenement packages at Dalgaranga, Mt Magnet, and Cue.
Ramelius has approved an exploration budget of A$90 million to A$110 million for the 2026-2027 financial year, covering approximately 240,000 meters of drilling. An updated group mineral resource and ore reserve statement is expected to be released in late August.
