en.Wedoany.com Reported - German construction company Max Bögl has taken delivery of the first of five 800-ton Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 all-terrain cranes it ordered, with the remaining four to be delivered between now and February next year.

This nine-axle LTM 1750-9.1 is transported with a 52-meter main boom, and on site can be fitted with a lattice extension boom up to 91 meters long as well as the Y-Guy superlift system. With the main boom extended to 49 meters, a 19-meter extension installed between the boom head and the luffing jib pivot point, and the full 91-meter luffing jib deployed, the maximum lifting height approaches 160 meters.

In its first assignment, this new LTM 1750-9.1 was deployed in Papenburg, near the Dutch border, to erect 20 concrete-steel hybrid wind turbine towers over 17 weeks. Each tower is 86 meters high, with a steel upper section to be installed on top. The work involved using the crane's 52-meter telescopic boom, with lattice sections added to achieve a tip height exceeding 100 meters, lifting components weighing up to 56 tons to a height of nearly 100 meters.

Group CEO Stefan Bögl stated that Liebherr has always been a reliable partner when expanding the company's crane fleet, enabling the company to quickly and reliably meet the growing demand for hybrid towers. With its high lifting capacity and rapid deployment capability, the newly acquired crane is ideally suited for use on wind farm construction sites.
