en.Wedoany.com Reported - LG Display has publicly unveiled plastic organic light-emitting diodes (P-OLED) for humanoid robots and a 27-inch 5K OLED panel for the first time in Korea at the K-Display 2026 exhibition, while showcasing its OLED product lineup spanning TVs, gaming, IT, automotive, and other sectors.
From July 22, LG Display is exhibiting OLED-based products and technologies at "K-Display 2026" held at COEX in Seoul. The exhibition area is divided into four zones—Vision, Home, Work, and Mobility—under the theme "Display as a Window of Communication Connecting Daily Life."
In the Vision zone, LG Display has unveiled for the first time a P-OLED display solution targeting the humanoid robot market. This product is lightweight and capable of stable operation in extreme environments ranging from minus 30 degrees Celsius to plus 85 degrees Celsius. Following its application in automotive and IT fields, the company plans to expand this technology into industrial markets such as humanoid robots. This zone also features a media wall showcasing the full range of OLED products, from 83-inch ultra-large OLED TV panels using Tandem technology to small- and medium-sized panels for monitors and IT applications.
In the Home zone, LG Display demonstrates the competitiveness of OLED panels for gaming monitors and TVs. Exhibits include new products such as a 24.5-inch 540Hz gaming OLED, a 27-inch DFR 720Hz model, and a 39-inch 21:9 5K2K product. For TVs, the company showcases Tandem WOLED featuring Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 technology, achieving a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits and a reflectance of less than 0.3%.
In the Work zone, LG Display has unveiled for the first time a 27-inch 5K OLED panel with 220ppi resolution and an RGB Stripe structure, targeting professional work environments such as graphic design, securities trading, and healthcare. In this zone, a 16-inch OLED for laptops applies variable refresh rate technology, operating at 120Hz for video playback and adjusting to 20Hz for static images. Additionally, OLED panels for tablets, smartphones, and smartwatches based on a new LTPO pixel driving method are introduced.
In the Mobility zone, LG Display showcases a digital cockpit featuring a 48-inch P2P display and an 18-inch slidable OLED. The 48-inch P2P design supports the driver and front passenger using different content on the same large screen, while the 18-inch slidable OLED is installed on the rear roof, extending the screen for video conferencing and entertainment functions when needed.
The 27-inch 5K OLED panel exhibited that day received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award. LG Display stated that it will achieve market differentiation through innovative OLED technologies and expand its business centered on customer value.
