Japanese wireless power supply specialist B&P to launch remote coupler combining wireless power and 1Gbps Ethernet communication

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Japanese wireless power supply specialist B&P (Be-and-Plus) announced on July 21, 2026, that it will launch the "High-Speed Communication Remote Coupler System (Ethernet Specification)" on July 24, which enables contactless simultaneous wireless power supply and up to 1Gbps Ethernet communication.

When the base unit and remote unit of this system are placed facing each other at close range, it provides DC24V/max 1.5A power supply and supports 1000BASE-T full-duplex communication. This is the first product in B&P's remote coupler series to support Ethernet communication.

The product is primarily designed for applications such as robot hand exchange parts or equipment movable parts, eliminating the need for power cables or LAN cables. According to B&P, this design reduces the risk of equipment downtime caused by connector wear, poor contact, or cable breakage. Application examples include image inspection using a robot hand equipped with an FA camera, and collecting image or log data from a mobile shuttle in a transport system.

The communication section uses the highly directional 60GHz band to suppress radio interference with the surroundings, with a communication delay time of approximately 90 nanoseconds. The system transmits Ethernet signals transparently, independent of specific upper-layer communication protocols, allowing direct connection to existing Ethernet devices or networks. The protection rating is IP65, and the transmission distance can reach up to 6 to 10mm depending on power supply conditions.

In addition to the model supporting wireless power supply and Ethernet communication, B&P also offers an Ethernet communication-only model for environments with external power supply equipment.
