en.Wedoany.com Reported - PT Jala Lintas Media (JLM), a leading telecommunications service provider in Indonesia, is deploying a greenfield DWDM network connecting Indonesia and Singapore using Ribbon Communications' Apollo platform. This project aims to provide scalable, high-capacity network connectivity for cloud and AI workloads through Ribbon's Data Center Interconnect (DCI) solution. It represents the first phase of JLM's broader network expansion, implemented with support from PT Mahavira System Integra.

In this deployment, JLM has adopted Ribbon's Apollo 9608 modular optical networking platform, which is suitable for metro, core, and DCI applications. As a key component of Ribbon's DCI solution, the Apollo 9608 offers scalability, high-density performance, and low power consumption, designed to enable efficient and cost-effective network expansion.
Victor Irianto, Founder and President Commissioner of JLM, stated that in the current environment, merely offering the best technology is no longer sufficient to meet demands, as service providers face extended deployment cycles that can impact revenue opportunities, service delivery, and customer satisfaction. He noted that Ribbon's solution was evaluated and deemed the most technologically advanced, while also offering a smaller footprint, lower power consumption, and the fastest delivery, implementation, testing, and integration speed. With Ribbon's DCI capabilities, JLM now connects data centers in Indonesia and Singapore, enabling efficient expansion and delivering greater value to customers.
Mickey Wilf, Ribbon's Head of ASEAN Sales, added that the company supports JLM in expanding its network infrastructure and strengthening connectivity between data centers in Indonesia and Singapore by combining high-performance optical innovation with rapid deployment and proven DCI expertise.
