en.Wedoany.com Reported - LINK Engineering Company's laboratory in Limburg, Germany, has been authorized by the UK Vehicle Certification Agency to conduct witnessed brake emission tests for vehicle type approval programs. This authorization enables LINK to assist manufacturers in meeting Euro 7 compliance requirements and further expands its brake emission testing capabilities. As an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited holder, LINK is also among the first organizations to receive DAkkS accreditation for brake emission testing.

The Euro 7 regulation introduces, for the first time, limits on brake particulate emissions. Vehicle and brake manufacturers require specialized facilities, technical expertise, and accredited testing capabilities to obtain certification. Currently, only a few organizations worldwide possess the equipment, expertise, and recognized qualifications needed to support such certification programs.

The newly added witnessed type approval testing capability allows LINK to provide end-to-end solutions for the global automotive and brake industry, from development testing to regulatory certification. Marco Zessinger, Managing Director of Link Engineering Company GmbH, stated that receiving VCA approval recognizes LINK's technical capabilities in the field of brake emission testing. Faced with the new regulatory requirements of Euro 7, manufacturers need testing partners that combine both technical expertise and accredited qualifications.

The LINK Group of Companies, which includes Link Engineering Company, Link Industries, and Tescor, covers the design and manufacturing of customized high-precision testing, research, simulation, quality control, and thermal solution equipment, as well as comprehensive testing services and customized high-precision cutting tools. The company is headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, USA, with manufacturing and design facilities, laboratories, and vehicle testing operations worldwide. Founded in 1935, LINK is currently led by the second and third generations of the Link family.
