Boeing and Pelico Sign C-17 Maintenance Upgrade Agreement

Under the agreement, Pelico's manufacturing orchestration platform will serve as an AI-driven unified workspace, helping to shorten depot maintenance turnaround times, improve fleet availability, and make aircraft delivery performance more predictable by connecting supply, engineering, planning, and depot maintenance processes with operations.

Turbo Sjogren, Vice President and General Manager of Boeing Global Services Government Services, stated that the platform will provide a clear and comprehensive view of potential sustainment and support challenges, enabling Boeing to operate and execute more efficiently, reduce out-of-service fleet cycles, and fulfill commitments. The Pelico platform is expected to replace fragmented processes reliant on spreadsheets, offering a shared, real-time view of material shortages, bottlenecks, and maintenance priorities. This agreement builds on a previous deployment of the Pelico platform within Boeing Global Services' commercial spare parts business, which validated its ability to reduce backlogs and improve operational efficiency.

Tarik Benabdallah, CEO and Co-founder of Pelico, noted that sustaining aging fleets is one of the most complex challenges in aerospace, with sustainment cycles spanning decades. Pelico's solution will provide Boeing with visibility into complex dependencies across the supply chain, production, and maintenance, enabling teams to identify disruptions early and coordinate next steps to avoid delivery delays. Boeing and Pelico will leverage this agreement to assess how similar digital tools can support sustainment operations for additional platforms.
