The laboratory focuses on research in solar energy, wind energy, hydrogen energy, and energy storage, promoting innovation and regional application of new energy technologies.

China-Uzbekistan Joint Laboratory Established, Focusing on Green Energy Technology R&D

The Green Energy Joint Laboratory is a collaborative project between the National Research Institute of Renewable Energy under the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Inner Mongolia University of Technology in China, developed under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

On the day of the inauguration, representatives from the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, and relevant universities and research institutions attended the ceremony.

Umid Mamadaminov, First Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan; Shi Guanghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; and Professor Guo Hongfei, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, attended the event and delivered speeches.

All parties stated that the establishment of the laboratory will further expand scientific research cooperation between the two countries in the field of renewable energy, accelerate the application of innovative technologies, and cultivate professional talent needed for the new energy industry.

Covering Solar, Wind, and Hydrogen Energy, Driving New Energy Industry Upgrades

According to the plan, the laboratory will conduct joint research in areas including solar energy, wind energy, hydrogen energy, energy storage technologies, smart energy systems, and applications of artificial intelligence.

The project not only involves building modern research and experimental facilities but also promotes the cultivation of high-level scientific talent, providing technical support for the development of Uzbekistan's new energy industry.
