The route will operate year-round with three round-trip flights per week. Outbound flights depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 15:15 local time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with an estimated flight time of approximately 10 hours and 25 minutes; return flights depart from Hanoi at 08:35 local time every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with an estimated flight time of approximately 11 hours and 20 minutes. Hanoi joins Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi, and Bangkok as LOT's fifth long-haul destination in Asia. The company also expects to launch direct flights to Bangkok in the near future. Robert Ludera, member of the LOT Polish Airlines Board of Directors and Chief Commercial Officer, stated that the new route reflects the airline's plans to expand its presence in Asia, while further establishing Warsaw as a transit hub between Central and Eastern Europe and some of the world's fastest-growing destinations. He noted that Vietnam's growing importance to Polish business and tourism, combined with its cultural and natural diversity, were key reasons behind this expansion.
Vietnam's capital is renowned for its traffic congestion, street vendors, and daily life centered around street markets and food stalls. Popular attractions include Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the Old Quarter, the Temple of Literature, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex. In the evenings, traditional water puppetry remains a distinctive local art form. Hanoi's iconic cuisine includes pho, bun cha, and egg coffee. Hanoi also serves as a common starting point for longer journeys through northern Vietnam, with destinations such as Sapa, Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay.
Warsaw-Hanoi route tickets can be purchased through the LOT website, mobile app, customer service center, and travel agencies.
LOT Polish Airlines currently operates direct long-haul flights to the United States, Canada, India, Japan, and South Korea using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
