en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian battery manufacturer Electrovaya (NASDAQ and TSX: ELVA) has launched the ElvaPulse 1500, a stationary battery energy storage system primarily targeting data centers and other critical infrastructure applications.

The system is housed in a 20-foot modular container, built on a 1500 VDC architecture, with a rated energy capacity of up to 2.88 MWh and continuous power output of up to 7 MW.

As electricity demand continues to rise driven by AI infrastructure, data centers typically rely on UPS batteries for instantaneous backup power and generators for extended backup. Electrovaya stated that the ElvaPulse 1500 is designed to complement generators, UPS systems, and broader grid modernization initiatives, with such battery energy storage systems increasingly operating in tandem with these facilities for peak shaving and short-term resilience support.

The platform is still under development and is designed to be eligible for the U.S. 48E investment tax credit. Initial deliveries are planned for the second quarter of 2027, with production to take place at Electrovaya's manufacturing facility in Jamestown, New York, where site upgrades and construction work are currently underway.

Electrovaya will showcase the ElvaPulse 1500 at three industry events: ACP RECHARGE, Yotta 2026, and RE+ 2026.

Additionally, Electrovaya has entered into a commercial supply agreement with Amazon involving the Infinity battery product line for material handling operations, which is unrelated to the ElvaPulse product line.
