Airbus' 2026 commercial aircraft delivery target is 870 aircraft, compared to 793 in 2025. This total is based on the number of engines Pratt & Whitney has committed to delivering to the final assembly lines for the Airbus A220 and A320neo programs. Faury stated that Airbus is counting on appropriate delivery levels in 2026 and 2027.
Airbus has not yet provided specific production guidance for 2027, but Faury confirmed production increase targets for each aircraft model: 13 A220s per month by 2028, 70 to 75 A320neo family aircraft per month, 5 A330neos per month by 2029, and 12 A350s per month by 2028. Faury made clear that this year's guidance implies deliveries of 850 to 890 aircraft.
Faury noted that engine delivery volumes are "no longer a topic for 2026," and that the public dispute is an issue that needs to be set aside at some point, though he also expressed dissatisfaction. Pratt & Whitney previously had to contend with demand from Airbus and airlines for spare engines to keep the active fleet flying due to engine durability issues, and the shortage of available PW1100G engines at one point hampered deliveries of the A320neo family. Faury mentioned that Airbus has received "strong support" from CFM International and Rolls-Royce in terms of engine deliveries.
Airbus released new medium-term targets on July 21, based on significant production growth through 2029, which would nearly double profits for the group and its commercial aircraft division. In the first half of this year, Airbus delivered 351 commercial aircraft, including 44 A220s, 271 A320neos, 10 A330s, and 26 A350s. Commercial aircraft revenue grew 15% year-on-year to €23.9 billion (approximately $27.2 billion) in the first six months, with operating profit up 58% to €1.95 billion.
