en.Wedoany.com Reported - Russian Nuclear Energy Infrastructure Solutions Company (RIR), a subsidiary of Rosatom, has recently commissioned a full-cycle production complex for radio-electronic equipment. By establishing in-house metalworking workshops, circuit board assembly lines, and large-component assembly stations, the facility has increased the localization rate of its IT equipment to 80%.

This production base is primarily focused on manufacturing intelligent traffic management and environmental monitoring systems, products that are in high demand in regional digitalization projects. The current production lines can turn out more than 2,000 high-tech devices annually, with potential for further expansion. Key customers include regional administrative bodies advancing digitalization, intelligent transport systems (ITS), and "Smart City" projects.
To date, the upgraded production lines have delivered over 100 units of the "Ultra" and "Meteor" road monitoring systems, each comprising cameras, intelligent control units, and specialized software. All these products have passed ST-1 certification, confirming their Russian origin, and have been entered into the register of domestically produced industrial products maintained by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg).
The production process covers metal plasma cutting, chassis welding, printed circuit board soldering, and final testing. The SMD assembly line is equipped with stencil printers, component placement machines, and reflow ovens. The production area also features an additive manufacturing section, where industrial 3D printers are used for rapid prototyping and structural component production. The remaining 20% of components are sourced through partnerships with other Russian manufacturers, meaning the equipment produced is almost entirely based on domestically made components, ensuring a high degree of technological autonomy.
In addition to road monitoring systems, the facility's product range includes the "Smart Gateway M-1" environmental monitoring device, as well as supervisory management and dispatch systems.
The core selling point for regional clients is the "one-stop" concept: the entire hardware and software stack is assembled, programmed, calibrated, and compatibility-tested by a single manufacturer before shipment, reducing the risk of component incompatibility during on-site commissioning to zero, with a single responsible party providing after-sales support for both hardware and software.
Ksenia Sukhotina, General Director of RIR, stated that the company now independently handles all technological processes required for equipment manufacturing, enabling quality control at every stage and flexible adjustment of system functionality to suit the specific conditions of different regions.
To ensure the stable operation of the complex, RIR has assembled a cross-disciplinary team comprising IT specialists, development engineers, design engineers, CNC technicians, and electrical assemblers, achieving seamless integration of software implementation and physical manufacturing for every product through cross-functional collaboration.
