en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK-based Renderplas has supplied PVC external wall trim to the Wynn Palace in Macau and The Walk shopping mall in East Riffa, Bahrain, with a combined total of over 50 kilometres of trim profiles used across the two projects to protect render facade edges and maintain long-term aesthetics. The two projects respectively represent the different requirements for external wall edge protection in a high-end hotel and a commercial complex.

For the 29-storey Wynn Palace resort in Macau, Renderplas supplied over 38 kilometres of PVC external wall trim. Finished in ivory white, the trims and corner beads were used around door frames, window sills and transitions between facade materials to provide durable reinforced edges. Manufactured from 75% recycled, exterior-grade impact- and UV-resistant plastic, the trims serve as an alternative to stainless steel profiles, ensuring they will not stain or corrode over time.
The Walk mall in Bahrain is the country's first open-air shopping centre, with its external render panels forming a geometric facade. The project installed 12 kilometres of 6mm trim and 2.5 kilometres of 4mm corner bead in bright white PVC, achieving the desired design effect without the need for painting, with these edges forming a direct part of the building's appearance. In Bahrain's hot and humid environment, the non-corrosive and UV-resistant PVC material provides a long-term solution.
The material selection logic for both projects also took installation practicality into account. Renderplas PVC profiles feature a one-person installation method and are used to create joints, external corners and edges. The material is impact-resistant, non-fading and lighter than metal alternatives, making it easier to handle, transport and cut on site, while also helping to reduce construction waste. At Wynn Palace, these properties are used to protect the long-term quality of high-end render finishes; at The Walk mall, they support exposed edges in maintaining integrity and appearance under high-traffic commercial use and climatic stress.
