en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Management Committee of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Sea Port Authority convened and unanimously approved the 2026 budget adjustment, allocating new resources for priority development projects at the ports of Corigliano-Rossano and Vibo Valentia Marina. The meeting was chaired by the Authority's President, Paolo Piacenza.

The Port of Corigliano-Rossano received €200,000 for the technical work required to remove a sunken vessel from the harbor basin. This operation is a key step in restoring optimal safety conditions and full operational capacity at the port.
The Port of Vibo Valentia Marina received €150,000 for technical design services for the extension of the breakwater. This infrastructure project aims to enhance the port's operational capacity.
This budget adjustment increases both revenues and expenditures by €1,686,786.65. Following the adjustment, total revenues rise to €26,370,820.41, while total expenditures rise to €101,911,494.65, resulting in a deficit of €75,540,674.24. This deficit will be fully covered by a portion of the administrative surplus from the 2025 financial statements, which recorded a total surplus of €128,900,497.23.
The Committee also unanimously approved a supplementary state maritime concession application submitted by CADI Srl at the Port of Vibo Valentia Marina, covering the Fiume dock area. Upon obtaining this concession, the company will be able to provide refueling services for yachts, thereby extending the port's service offerings to the recreational boating sector.
President Piacenza stated that these decisions reflect the Authority's commitment to the balanced development of the entire port network, addressing both immediate safety and efficiency needs and long-term strategic infrastructure planning, while also strengthening support for economic operators and private investment in the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Sea port system.
